Hisi Studio

Hisi studio is a Kenyan lifestyle brand, founded by Angela Wanjiku. The word Hisi is a Swahili verb which means “ to feel” or “to sense” The brands inclusive designs recognizes, rethinks the needs of visually impaired consumers. This is to createe a more holistic sensorial experience and fostering independence and dignity.

The clothes feature textured prints and tactile braille phrases. For accessibility Angela  adds braille tags and washable QR codes that offer a complete description of the product & wash and care for the garments. The functionality of the tactile braille phrases makes the pieces unique but also initiates conversation about disability inclusion.
